WHAT WE DO IN THE UK

Our UK office was founded in 2003.
In the UK, we train facilitators to deliver projects internationally, both for Theatre for a Change and in partnership with other non-governmental and civil society organisations working with at risk groups.
We also assist our partners to deliver high quality programmes that have maximum impact to empower marginalised and vulnerable women and girls. To read more about our partnerships work, see Our Training Offer.
The UK team focus on the development of specific organisational areas that help our partners to achieve their goals. These include:
Governance – UK trustees develop a shared vision for the organisation and strong links with Directors internationally.
Organisational Strategy and Programme Planning – the development and accreditation of quality training manuals.
Monitoring and Evaluation – the development of an organisational Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning framework which enables the measurement and comparison of impact across our projects. We actively share learning from projects with NGOs and partners internationally.
Financial Management – robust financial management procedures and implementation, with a focus on ensuring cost effectiveness and value for money across all our operations.
Fundraising and Communications – the development of a sustainable fundraising portfolio and strong, cohesive internal and external communications.
Having now taken part in a couple of fun and energetic workshops I can see how theatre is a great medium to analyse issues from unique angles … What I most appreciated was the way in which the workshops allowed people from various backgrounds to come together and collectively learn how we may act differently in the future.
